Bossard and University Establish Joint Practice Base

Bossard Partners with Dalian University of Technology to Build an Industry-Education Integration Practice Base

On December 6, 2025, a team of EMBA faculty and students from the School of Economics and Management at Dalian University of Technology (DUT), led by Professor Su Jingqin, visited Bossard. Together, they participated in and witnessed the official unveiling ceremony of the joint "Industry-Education Integration Practice Base." This event also marked the successful completion of the base's first on-site course. It was a convergence of academic wisdom and vibrant industrial practice, as Bossard and DUT jointly opened a new chapter in collaborative education and future co-creation.

The unveiling ceremony took place that morning at Bossard's Shanghai headquarters. In a concise yet grand ceremony, Professor Su Jingqin officially presented the plaque for the "Dalian University of Technology School of Economics and Management Industry-Education Integration Practice Base" to Ms. Fan Xiaona, HR & Administration Director at Bossard. This unveiling symbolizes not only the establishment of a cooperative platform but also carries both parties' solemn commitment and expectation to promote the deep integration of education and industrial practice, jointly cultivating high-quality talent needed for future industrial development.

Following the ceremony, the faculty and students delved into the enterprise to embark on an exploratory journey themed "Seeing the Hidden Power Behind 'Connections'." Guan Xuefeng, VP of Supply Chain for Bossard Asia Pacific, first introduced the company's global history and strategic layout. The group then toured the historical wall showcasing Bossard's nearly two-century legacy and walked through its smart factory showroom. Here, they observed up close how Bossard achieves precise and efficient distribution of B and C-class materials through digital logistics systems, and how its "Smart Factory Logistics" system, integrated with IoT technology, empowers intelligent management across various production scenarios. They also experienced the smart assembly process, where the deep integration of digital work instructions, automation technology, and error-proofing concepts ensures precision and reliability in production.

Next, the delegation visited Bossard's Engineering Technology Lab—which integrates product selection analysis, testing verification, and process optimization—and its advanced Quality Lab accredited with ISO/IEC 17025, learning how the company ensures consistent quality for every fastener product. Finally, they toured the precision CNC machining workshop, which meets demands for rapid response and high customization, as well as the efficiently operating modern automated立体 warehouse. The "hidden productivity" demonstrated by Bossard—going beyond single-product supply to provide customers with systematic solutions—sparked great interest and deep reflection among the faculty and students.

The intuitive impressions from the on-site visit ignited intellectual sparks during the subsequent seminar. Centered on the core theme of "Bossard's Business Model," the faculty and students raised profound questions and shared insights from multiple dimensions, including corporate strategic positioning, value chain innovation, and service digital transformation, based on what they had seen and heard. The Bossard team shared practical experiences and strategic thinking regarding value-added services, smart factory digitization, and creating implicit value for customers through engineering technical services. This exchange was not only a deep dissection of a vivid business case but also a lively collision and deep integration of academic theory and industrial practice.

At the conclusion of the event, Guan Xuefeng expressed his sincere gratitude to the DUT faculty, students, and Bossard colleagues.
