Toprecision threaded inserts: repair threads, prevent loosening, resist corrosion. For high-vibration, heavy-load, soft-substrate applications in aerospace, automotive, electronics, and new energy.
In modern industrial manufacturing, threaded connections are among the most fundamental and critical components. Whether in the harsh vibration environments of aerospace or the long-term operation of automotive and mechanical equipment, issues such as thread damage, loosening, and wear persistently act as "invisible killers" affecting equipment reliability and service life. The one-piece threaded insert offers a one-stop fastening solution to these pain points.
A one-piece threaded insert is an integral insert with both internal and external threads. Through its unique structural design, it embeds high-strength internal threads into the base material, fundamentally overcoming the limitations of conventional threaded holes, such as uneven stress distribution and susceptibility to damage. Compared with traditional wire thread inserts, the one-piece threaded insert offers higher mechanical strength and greater application flexibility. Its internal and external thread pitches can be designed to be identical or different as required, eliminating the constraint that wire thread inserts must have matching pitches.
Multi-Scenario Applications for Precise Response to Demanding Conditions
To meet the requirements of different materials and operating conditions, one-piece threaded inserts have evolved into multiple types:
Self-tapping inserts (e.g., Type 302, Type 307/308) are among the most widely used varieties. They require no pre-tapping and can be directly driven into pre-drilled holes in the base material, forming threads through self-cutting. They are particularly suitable for soft materials such as aluminum alloys, magnesium alloys, thermoplastics, and wood. Among these, Type 307/308 feature greater wall thickness and three cutting edges, making them especially effective for difficult-to-cut materials or thin-walled workpieces, while Type 302, with its cutting-slot design, can also provide a certain thread-locking effect on some materials.
Key-locking inserts and flange thread inserts address heavier-load or special applications. Key-locking inserts are solid bushings with internal and external threads, featuring a "key" at the top that distributes loads effectively across the base material and prevents failure caused by stripping, galling, or corrosion. They are particularly suitable for high-torque, high-temperature, and frequent disassembly scenarios. Flange thread inserts are pressed into the base material through their "serrated" external profile to form an interference fit, creating extremely high-strength connections in materials with good plasticity, such as 6061 aluminum alloy.

Four Core Values: More Than Connection, It's Protection
The value of one-piece threaded inserts is reflected in their optimization of the entire product lifecycle:
Repair and conversion, extending service life: For damaged threaded holes in soft metals such as aluminum and magnesium, one-piece threaded inserts enable precise repair, restoring or even exceeding original thread strength and preventing costly workpiece scrappage.
Enhanced connections for improved reliability: In soft substrates such as plastics and wood, they significantly increase pull-out resistance and torque strength by enlarging contact area and reinforcing material strength, effectively preventing stripping.
Corrosion resistance and locking: Available in stainless steel or zinc-plated materials, they effectively protect threads in corrosive environments such as marine equipment. Meanwhile, their special structure or coatings deliver excellent anti-loosening performance.
Improved assembly efficiency: In mass production, they enable rapid automated installation when used with dedicated installation tools, significantly reducing downtime.
