SOU Visits Bossard Guangdong

In late November, the MBA Education Center of Dalian Maritime University organized more than 20 students from the 2025 cohort, led by Professor Li, a senior faculty member, to visit Bichina Fastener Co., Ltd. in Guangdong Province for a productive enterprise practice and on-site teaching activity.

At the beginning of the event, Ms. Xue Yong, General Manager of Bichina Fastener (Guangdong) Co., Ltd., expressed sincere and warm welcome to all the teachers and students. In her opening speech, she emphasized that Bichina has long adhered to the concept of open collaboration and attaches great importance to interactive exchanges and in-depth cooperation with higher education institutions. General Manager Xue further pointed out that the purpose of this practical teaching activity was to build a valuable platform for students to get close to industry reality and intuitively understand enterprise operations, hoping to help students broaden their industry horizons, deepen their understanding of modern enterprise management practices, and thus better combine theoretical knowledge learned in the classroom with the real business environment.

In the following sessions, the company arranged several thematic presentations and on-site observations. The head of the technical department systematically introduced the production processes of fastener products, the quality control system, and the latest technological trends in the industry. The production supervisor led the teachers and students to the workshop floor, where they toured the entire production line from raw material warehousing to finished product shipment, and provided detailed explanations of the equipment operation and operating specifications for key processes. During the process, students combined their management knowledge to engage in lively discussions with company personnel on issues such as production scheduling, cost control, and logistics optimization.

In addition, representatives from the company's human resources and marketing departments shared challenges and countermeasures in actual enterprise operations with the teachers and students, covering topics such as talent demand, career development, and market competition landscape. Through face-to-face communication, students gained a more three-dimensional and intuitive understanding of the organizational structure, strategic planning, and daily management of manufacturing enterprises.

At the conclusion of the event, Professor Li expressed sincere thanks to Bichina on behalf of the university. He stated that such in-depth enterprise practice teaching is an indispensable and important part of the MBA training process, effectively compensating for the limitations of purely theoretical teaching and helping students build a more complete knowledge system and practical abilities. At the same time, he also expressed hope for more sustained and diverse cooperation between the two sides in talent cultivation and research projects.
