CIHS 2025 Concludes with Far-Reaching Impact
The 2025 China International Hardware Show (CIHS) successfully concluded at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre on October 12. As an annual flagship event covering the entire hardware industrial chain, the exhibition continues to generate profound industry influence after its closing. It has set a positive tone for the global hardware market at the year-end and serves as a core driver to boost industry confidence amid complex global economic conditions.

Dual Institutional Collaboration: Upgraded Services to Alleviate Industry Dilemmas

Affected by turbulent international situations and rising tariff barriers, hardware manufacturers have faced mounting operational pressures throughout the year. To help enterprises break through industry bottlenecks, the event’s co-organizers — the China National Hardware Association and Koelnmesse GmbH — strengthened strategic cooperation, expanded high-quality domestic and international exhibitor and buyer recruitment, launched a series of result-oriented supporting activities, and comprehensively upgraded the exhibition service system.
Zhang Dongli, Chairman of the China National Hardware Association, stated that this year’s exhibition achieved remarkable quality improvement with a concentrated display of innovative products, a year-on-year increase in professional buyers and visitors, and booming on-site popularity. He emphasized continuous optimization of exhibition standards to support the global layout of Chinese hardware enterprises and promote win-win development for both domestic and international industries. Sebastian Rosito, Vice President of Koelnmesse, highlighted CIHS as a vital platform for strengthening global business connections, noting that widespread international participation fully reflects global industry recognition and confidence in the exhibition.

Global Participation: Outstanding Intentional Transaction Volume Achieved

The exhibition gathered exhibitors from 16 countries and regions including China, Germany, Japan and the United States, showcasing high-quality products covering tools, locks, fasteners and other hardware categories. Professional visitors from over 100 countries and regions conducted in-depth on-site negotiations. Exhibitors generally reported higher-than-expected customer matching accuracy and transaction conversion efficiency, with stable returning clients and precise docking with new global buyers.
The exhibition achieved remarkable results beyond expectations. A single specialized activity generated over 80 million US dollars in intended transactions, more than 200 sample orders, on-site investigation invitations for over 30 enterprises, and 15 regional agency cooperation agreements. Wang Zhenyong, person in charge of Luannan Zhengfeng Building Materials, shared that the company successfully attracted British buyers, with its market-customized products gaining wide recognition and achieving stable exports to the EU, the United States and other regions. In addition, a long-term Eastern European purchaser attended the exhibition for consecutive years and purchased labor protection supplies and fasteners for distribution across five Eastern European countries.

Rise of Domestic Brands: Solid Strength of Chinese Manufacturing Highlighted

Leading domestic enterprises including Wendeng Weili, Hongbao Tools and Zhongtianda showcased industrial cluster advantages and technical capabilities of China’s hardware manufacturing industry. Zhangjiagang Zhongtianda Tools expanded its booth scale this year, achieving both strong on-site popularity and fruitful business results. According to Chairman Song Hu, 95% of the company’s products are exported overseas with leading international competitiveness. Wang Yan from Zhongshan Qinglian noted a significant increase in buyers from Belt and Road countries, driving the enterprise to adjust its global development strategy proactively.
Sichuan Foreign Trade Machinery Import and Export Company demonstrated an innovative development model. Abandoning the traditional OEM mechanism, the enterprise adopts independent brand labeling through overseas procurement, effectively circumventing trade barriers and expanding brand influence, providing a valuable development reference for the industry. Other participating enterprises including Ningbo Jiejie and Weihai Weili Yujie also achieved abundant cooperation intentions. Teng Weibing, Party Branch Secretary of Weihai Weili Yujie, confirmed continued cooperation and re-meeting with global clients at the 2026 exhibition.
The exhibition’s market influence has extended to the next year, with numerous new and returning exhibitors reserving booths for 2026 and international purchasers confirming long-term cooperation plans. Against the backdrop of sluggish global trade, CIHS 2025 has built a reliable bridge for Sino-foreign industrial cooperation, fully demonstrating the robust strength of Chinese manufacturing and injecting sustainable momentum into the high-quality development of the global hardware industry.
