Finework Technology Receives SLB "Outstanding Contribution Award"
On November 12, Schlumberger (SLB), a world-leading oilfield services provider, successfully convened its World Quality Week global quality event at its Shanghai Qingpu Technology Center. The event attracted nearly 200 industry professionals, who participated both online and in person. As a key partner of SLB in the field of oil equipment fasteners, Finework Technology was honored to be invited to this industry gathering. Li Yan, the company's Oil & Gas Project Director, delivered a featured presentation on behalf of Finework Technology, systematically and thoroughly analyzing the complex production and manufacturing logic behind high-end fasteners as well as the quality management system covering the entire product lifecycle.
At the outset of the thematic presentation, Li Yan first elaborated on the inherent complexity of fastener products. This complexity is primarily manifested in two dimensions: first, the vast variety of fastener types—different categories have unique and specific requirements across multiple technical aspects such as material selection, geometric dimensions, and mechanical performance indicators; second, their extremely broad range of applications—from ordinary mechanical equipment to harsh-condition oil and gas extraction machinery, and even to aerospace vehicles with exceptionally high reliability requirements, fasteners play a vital role as fundamental connecting components. These distinct product characteristics present multifaceted challenges to the manufacturing process.
To address these challenges, Li Yan proceeded to detail the production systems that Finework Technology has established for its two core business models: large-scale mass production and small-batch customized production.
Under the large-scale standardized production model, the company implements an exceptionally rigorous process specification. The entire manufacturing journey begins with strict raw material screening and procurement, ensuring from the source that the quality of base materials meets customers' high standards. This is followed by the precision machining stage, in which the company extensively employs advanced CNC machine tools for part cutting and forming, guaranteeing that every product's dimensions meet design tolerances. Subsequently, products undergo professional heat treatment processes designed to optimize and enhance their overall mechanical properties, such as strength, hardness, and toughness. Finally, all finished products must pass a strict inspection and testing procedure—only those fully compliant with standards are released to the market. This entire process is tightly linked at every step, achieving efficient output while consistently placing quality control at the core.
In addressing small-batch, customized order requirements, the company's production system demonstrates a high degree of flexibility. This model focuses on understanding and meeting customers' individualized needs, and has established a rapid-response mechanism capable of flexibly adjusting established production plans. Even when order volumes are limited, the company never lowers its standards, strictly adhering to the same quality specifications and process requirements as for mass-produced items. Through meticulous operations and quality inspections throughout the entire process, the company ensures that the final delivered products precisely align with every special requirement specified by the customer.
