Jointly hosted by Wenzhou University of Technology, the Administrative Committee of Wenzhou Bay New Area, and the Longwan District People's Government, the event took place at the Enterprise Service Center of the Wenzhou Bay New Area Administrative Committee. Themed "The Path to Application," the event focused on collaborative innovation within the intelligent equipment supply chain. As a key industry organization, the Wenzhou Fastener Industry Association was invited to attend, and its president, Mr. Ji Shaofeng, was officially appointed as an Industry Mentor at Wenzhou University of Technology, marking a substantive step forward in university-enterprise cooperation.

During the meeting, Chen Yongguang, Secretary of the Party Committee of Wenzhou University of Technology, outlined the school's new concepts and initiatives for serving local development. He stated that the university is committed to breaking through traditional models of university-local government cooperation. By deepening comprehensive alignment with local industries in terms of compatibility, research integration, innovation participation, and employment contribution, the university actively contributes academic wisdom and strength to the high-quality development of the intelligent equipment industry and the construction of a regional innovation system in Wenzhou Bay New Area and Longwan District.

To achieve this goal, the university will vigorously advance the integrated reform of "education, science, and talent," clearly focusing on four major development directions for the future:

First, it plans to build an applied faculty team over the next three years, where 50% of the teaching staff come from enterprises or possess extensive practical enterprise experience.
Second, it will focus on building four major disciplinary clusters—including Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Manufacturing—that closely align with Wenzhou's modern industrial system.
Third, it will implement curriculum and teaching system reforms based on the real demands of the supply chain, mapping out professional blueprints to achieve precise alignment between talent cultivation and industrial needs.
Fourth, it will innovate diversified talent cultivation models such as "2+2" and "3+1," offering three parallel pathways for further studies, engineering practice, and entrepreneurship to provide students with diverse development options.

A pivotal segment of the event was the awarding and appointment ceremony. Wenzhou University of Technology was awarded the title of "Vice Chairman Unit of the Wenzhou Bay New Area and Longwan District Industrial Innovation Alliance." Concurrently, Professor Chen Fengjun was appointed as the Deputy Chain Master of the Wenzhou Bay New Area and Longwan District Intelligent Equipment Supply Chain. During the Industry Mentor appointment session, five senior figures from the government and industry associations were appointed, including Ye Weiqiang (Director of the Longwan District Bureau of Economy and Information Technology), Wu Mingfeng (Director of the Science, Technology and Talent Bureau of Wenzhou Bay New Area), Ji Shaofeng (President of the Wenzhou Fastener Industry Association), Xiang Guanghui (President of the Wenzhou Food and Pharmaceutical Machinery Industry Association), and Yang Liancheng (President of the Longwan District Valve Industry Association). Furthermore, Budweiser (Wenzhou) Beer Co., Ltd. and Hengfengtai Precision Machinery Co., Ltd. respectively appointed Teacher Chen Haishao and Dr. Wang Xin as "Technology Vice Presidents"; while the Wenzhou Fastener Industry Association and two other industry associations respectively appointed Associate Professor Li Meiqin, Dr. Liu Wankun, and Dr. Bai Fan as deputy secretaries-general, establishing a deeply cooperative mechanism of bidirectional embedding.

This conference represents a crucial initiative to thoroughly implement the deployment of Wenzhou City's "5+5+N" modern industrial system construction, centering on the university's "136" development strategy, and executing the "Major Expansion of Local Services" action.
